Praveen Kumar, who was a part of the IPL between 2008 and 2014, made a mark on every single season he played. He holds the IPL sixes record of 357 sixes, the most ever achieved by any player. In 2013, he hit his longest ever IPL six of 119 metres against Ashok Dinda of the Rising Pune Supergiants. Gayle had a successful stint as an opener with Royal Challengers Bangalore before his transfer to Punjab Kings.
