Dream11 Fantasy Team

Wicket-keepers

Both Wheater and Hosein have been scoring consistently, though Hosein has converted his starts to fifties more frequently.

Batsmen

Westley, Lawrence, Walter and Madsen fill our batting slots. Westley is arguably the most in-form batsman of the lot, with a double century and a ton in two matches against Worcestershire. Lawrence has had a couple of fifties and has also bowled a bit, showing a penchant for taking wickets regularly. Walter has scored three fifties in his first four innings to merit his place in our Dream11. Derbyshire skipper Madsen is their only batsman in our Dream11. So far, he has had a start in nearly every innings.

All-rounders

Derbyshire’s Critchley and Reece are our all-rounder choices. Critchley has been very impressive with bat and ball alike. He had a spectacular start to the season against Worcestershire, with innings of 109 and 84, as well as an innings bowling haul of 5/67. Thereafter he has scored three more half-centuries and taken wickets regularly to underscore his all-round value. Though Reece has not been too impressive with the bat as an opener, with just one fifty in his first four matches, he has more than made up with his bowling, chipping in with a useful wicket or two when needed.

Bowlers

>Sam Cook and Harmer have been Essex’s most impressive bowlers so far this season.  Harmer has taken 21 wickets in his first four games, including two five-wicket innings hauls. Cook has taken 18 wickets in four matches and has not gone wicketless in any innings. Hudson-Prentice is Derbyshire’s only bowling choice in our Dream11. The bowler has been getting better with every game. His best performance came against Notts, with 8 wickets for 76 in that match.
