Daryn Dupavillon is one of the promising fast bowlers in South Africa who can clock in excess of 140 kph regularly. The Durban-born has been around for a while now. He made his first-class debut back in 2013 while playing for KwaZulu-Natal Inland. He didn’t have a great debut as he picked up just one wicket. In that season, he took just three wickets in as many games.

However, Dupavillon has got better with experience. He has been consistent over the last few years. The right-arm fast bowler took nine wickets in five games in the Momentum One-Day Cup in the 2019 – 2020 season. He even did well in the CSA Provisional T20 Cup in September 2019. Hence, some consistent performances earned him a spot in the South African ODI team that faced Australia in three home matches in early 2020.

Dupavillon made his ODI and international debut in the third ODI against Australia in Potchefstroom. He returned with figures of 1/21 from six overs and contributed to South Africa’s win.

Apart from that one ODI, Dupavillon has played 57 first-class games and has picked up 178 wickets. In List A cricket, he has 37 wickets to his name and has 21 wickets in 18 T20s.
