Test Career

Donald played his first Test match against South Africa at Harare in August 2014. He took 2/20 in the first innings and scored 15 not out and 5 in the match South Africa won. He proved his batting credentials with 49 not out, batting at number 10 against New Zealand in Bulawayo in July 2016. During his innings, he enjoyed a ninth-wicket partnership of 85 with Prince Masvaure. He had another good innings of 46 against Sri Lanka at Harare in October 2016. His best bowling figures of 3/91 were achieved against Bangladesh at Harare in November 2016. Tiripano played his last Test in February 2020 at Dhaka against Bangladesh. In 10 Test matches, Tiripano has scored 290 runs at an average of 19.93 with the top score of 49 not out. He has also taken 10 wickets at 52.31 with the best bowling figures of 3/91.

ODI Career

Tiripano played his first ODI against Afghanistan at Bulawayo in July 2014, a match that Zimbabwe won by six wickets. Tiripano contributed with bowling figures of 2/51, including the wickets of top-order batsmen Usman Ghani and Shinwari. In the same series, he took 5/63 to help dismiss Afghanistan for 259. Tiripano produced a match-winning performance against the UAE at Harare in April 2019 with 3/34. Donald also had some good innings, such as 44 against Pakistan at Bulawayo in July 2018, 29 against South Africa at Paarl in October 2018 and 33 against Ireland in July 2019. His best innings of 55 not out came at Sylhet against Bangladesh in March 2020, a match Zimbabwe lost by just four runs. Tiripano played his last match against Bangladesh at Sylhet in March 2020. In 34 ODI matches, Tiripano has scored 343 runs at 19.05, with his top score of 55 not out. He has also taken 31 wickets at an average of 46.87 with the best bowling figures of 5/63.

T20I Career

In his first T20I match against Afghanistan at Sharjah in January 2016, Tiripano took 0/29 in a match that Zimbabwe lost narrowly by five runs. He has had several good bowling performances in T20Is, such as 2/27 against Hongkong during the ICC World T20 at Nagpur in March 2016. He took 2/20 against Scotland in the same tournament, 3/20 against India at Harare in June 2016, in another narrow loss for Zimbabwe. He played his last T20I match against Bangladesh at Dhaka in March 2020. In 11 ODI matches, Tiripano has scored 49 runs at an average of 9.80, with his top score of 20. He has also taken 11 wickets at 28.81 with the best bowling figures of 3/20.
