His full name is Syed Khaled Ahmed and he is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He’s a right-arm medium pacer. Khaled Ahmed was born on 20 September 1992 in Sylhet, Bangladesh. He made his debut in international Test cricket in November 2018 against Zimbabwe. He is yet to play an international match for Bangladesh in One-Day or Twenty-20 formats.

Khaled Ahmed has played for Bangladesh A, Sylhet Division and Dhaka Dynamites (now Dhaka Platoon). Khaled Ahmed joined Rana Mia’s cricket academy in Sylhet in 2013 and he played his maiden first-class match in October 2015. Khaled Ahmed played his first List A match in May 2017 and his maiden Twenty-20 game in November 2017.

Khaled’s got his first big break to play for the Bangladesh Premier League franchise Dhaka Dynamites in 2017, though he could play just four games and took two wickets. In the next edition of BPL, Khaled Ahmed took 17 wickets at an average of 34.70, which earned him a call-up to the Bangladesh A side to play against Ireland A. He took 10 wickets in the unofficial ODI series of five matches against Ireland A.


On 11 November 2018, Khaled Ahmed got the opportunity to debut in Test cricket against Zimbabwe in the second Test of the series played in Dhaka. He bowled 18 overs in the first innings and 12 overs in the second innings but remained wicketless. He played his second and the last Test match on 28 February 2019 against New Zealand in Hamilton. Bangladesh lost the match by an innings and 52 runs and Khaled Ahmed once again remained wicketless from the 30 overs he bowled in the first innings of the match.


Khaled Ahmed has not made his debut in ODIs for Bangladesh.
