He is a left-arm orthodox spinner who can be very handy with the bat lower down the order and is a live wire in the field. He comes across as a complete package and fits the bill perfectly for T20 cricket. However, he has performed decently in other formats in domestic cricket as well.

It was in the 2016 – 2017 season that Pierre made his first-class and List A debuts. He didn’t get to bowl in his red-ball debut match but picked up 2/16 from his five overs on his 50-over debut. The left-arm spinner made his T20 debut in the 2017 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) where he played six games and took four wickets. However, in the 2018 CPL, he was a lot more consistent as he picked up 11 wickets from seven games at an average of 13.36 and an economy of 5.65.

That performance in the 2018 CPL earned him a place in the West Indies T20I squad that toured India in late 2018. Since then, he has been a part of the T20I squad. Pierre even made his ODI debut in late 2019.

T20I career

Pierre flew to India in November 2018, played all three games and did decently in his debut series. The left-arm spinner picked up two wickets and had an economy of 7.80. He impressed the audience with his temperament and despite not having a heap of wickets to show for, Pierre has been in and around the West Indies team since then. He has played 10 T20Is and has returned with seven wickets.

ODI career

In December 2019, Pierre made his ODI debut against India. He played two games in the three-match series. However, he didn’t pick up a single wicket and had an economy of 6.75. The cricketer of French origin played another ODI against Ireland in early 2020 and picked up his maiden wicket. Overall, in three ODIs, he has one wicket and 39 runs in two innings.
