Nayeem Hasan has taken 19 wickets in 5 Test matches at an average of 20.47. He played his first Test against the West Indies in Chattogram in November 2018. He had a sensational introduction to international cricket when he grabbed his first five-wicket haul, taking 5/61 to help dismiss the West Indies for 246 in reply to Bangladesh’s first innings score of 324. Bangladesh went on to win the game by 64 runs after dismissing the West Indies for 139 in their run chase of 204. Nayeem last appeared in a Test match against Zimbabwe in Dhaka in February 2020. In that game, he took his next fifer and a nine-wicket match haul to help Bangladesh win by an innings and 106 runs. Zimbabwe batted first and were bowled out for 265 with Nayeem taking 4/70, including the wickets of Masvaure, Ervine, Taylor and Raza.
