Noor Ali Zadran made his first-class debut for Afghanistan in a game played against Zimbabwe. The 32-year old has played competitive cricket for the last 10 years. An opening batsman, he has suffered from inconsistency and not been a regular member of the Afghanistan ODI and T20I squads.

Surprisingly, Noor Ali Zadran was included in the Afghanistan squad for the 2019 ICC World Cup held in England. After making his comeback to the national side, he took part in all the matches Afghanistan had in the competition.

In white-ball cricket, Noor Ali Zadran has failed to produce big scores on a regular basis.

Noor Ali Zadran made his limited-overs debut for Afghanistan in a one-day match played against Scotland in Benoni in 2009.

Since then, Noor Ali Zadran has scored 1216 runs in 50 innings at an average of 24.81 with one century and seven half-centuries to his name.

After making a comeback in 2019, Noor Ali Zadran failed to show himself with the bat and could only score 77 runs in 5 innings at an average of 15.40.

Noor Ali Zadran’s career-best batting performance came against Canada in a one-day match played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in 2010. He smashed his maiden ton for Afghanistan in one-day internationals. He scored 114 runs off 127 balls with the help of ten fours and two sixes.

T20I Cricket

The opening batsman has produced decent scores for Afghanistan in the T20 format. He made his debut in the T20 format against Canada in a game played at Colombo in 2010.

In his debut T20 match, he scored a fluent 31 runs off 35 balls with the help of one four.

Since making his debut in the 20-over format, Noor Ali Zadran has made a total of 506 runs in 20 innings at an average of 26.03 with three half-centuries to his name.

Zadran’s best batting performance in the T20s came against Oman in a game played at Fatullah in 2016 where he smashed 63 runs off 44 balls with the help of eight boundaries.

He last represented Afghanistan in a T20 game played against the West Indies at Basseterre in 2017.
