Masvaure was the skipper of the Zimbabwe team in the 2008 U-19 World Cup held in Malaysia. His first-class debut was for Northerns against Kenya Select XI in the Logan Cup’s 2006 – 2007 edition. In this match, he cracked 50 not out and bagged two wickets. Masvaure has also played for Zimbabwe A.
