Kieron Pollard (born 12 May 1987) is currently the skipper of the West Indies team in white-ball formats. He can hit big in the middle-order, bowl medium-pace and field well too. For the 2010 IPL (Indian Premier League) edition, Mumbai Indians (MI) paid the joint-highest price for him.

Raymon Reifer (born May 11 1991) is a Barbadian cricketer player who is a left-arm fast-medium bowler and left-handed batter. His home town is Saint Lucy in Barbados. He made his Test debut in December 2017 against New Zealand in Hamilton.

Cricketing Family

Reifer’s father, Elvis, played List A and first-class cricket for Hampshire and Barbados. His cousin, Floyde, is a former captain of the Windies in ODIs and Tests. Raymond’s uncle, George, played List A and first-class cricket for Scotland and Barbados. Another uncle of his, Leslie, also represented Barbados.

Domestic Career

Reifer played his maiden first-class match for Combined Campuses and Colleges against the Windward Islands in the Regional Four Day Competition in 2010 – 2011. Barbados Tridents picked him in the 9th round in the 2017 CPL (Caribbean Premier League) draft.

Reifer helped Guyana win the 2016 – 2017 four-day tournament, stroking 445 runs at 37.08 and grabbing 36 scalps at 21.58 to earn a place in the West Indies Test squad for their 2017 England tour. He became the top scorer for Guyana with 323 runs in 9 games in the 2018 – 2019 Regional Super50 tournament. In July 2020, Barbados Tridents selected him for the 2020 CPL.

International Career

Reifer was selected in the Windies Test squads for the series against England and Zimbabwe in 2017 but could not make it to the final XI. His Test debut was in December 2017 against New Zealand. In October 2018, the West Indies Cricket Board granted him a development contract to play in the 2018 – 2019 season. Reifer’s maiden ODI was against Bangladesh in May 2019 in a tri-series held in Ireland.

In June 2020, Reifer was selected in the Windies squad for their Test series in England after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Test Career Stats

As of September 2020, Reifer has played in a solitary Test in which he scored 52 runs at an average of 52.00. He claimed 2 wickets in the Test at an average of 44.00 and a strike rate of 90.0.
