Tanveer Sangha is touted to be the future star. Born in 2001, the leg-spinner has had an impressive start to his career. He caught the attention of Australian leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed as a 16-year-old and he has been impressive through age-group cricket and has started very well in domestic cricket as well.

Sangha was magnificent in the Under-19 World Cup in 2020 and finished as the fourth-highest wicket-taker in the tournament. The leg-spinner returned with 15 scalps and averaged 11.46 while conceding runs at an economy rate of 3.58.

Later in the same year, the New South Wales leggie made his T20 debut in the 2020-21 edition of the BBL. He represented Sydney Thunder and made a huge impact in his maiden season. He was the leading wicket-taker among the spinners across all teams as he picked up 21 wickets at an average of 18.28 and a strike rate of 13.5. He was also the highest wicket-taker for Sydney Thunder in the tournament.

After impressing in the shortest format, Sangha got the opportunity to make his List A and first-class debuts earlier this (ongoing) season for New South Wales. Even in his first game in the respective formats, he dominated. In the longest format, he took 3/44 in his first innings with the ball and followed that up with four wickets in his second game. In the 50-over format, he returned with figures of 4/21 from 7.2 overs.
