Nyayuchi took 31 wickets in 8 games at an average of 22.80 and an impressive economy rate of 3.28. He was the second leading wicket-taker in the Mountaineers’ 2017/18 Logan Cup-winning campaign. With 116 wickets in 39 games at an average of 26.18 and an economy of 3.04, Nyayuchi got his first international call for Zimbabwe in a two-game Test series against Sri Lanka.

Nyayuchi made his debut in international Test cricket on 19 January 2020 against Sri Lanka. He took 3 wickets for 69 runs in 32 overs at an economy rate of 2.15. He dismissed Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva to put some fight against the mighty Sri Lankan team. Zimbabwe lost the game by 10 wickets. He took 5 wickets in the series at an economy of 2.32 and an average of 31.60. Nyayuchi played an off-Test against Bangladesh in February 2020. He took the wicket of Mominul Haque in a losing cause.
