Mashinge’s talent came to the fore when he got selected to represent Zimbabwe in the U-19 World Cup in 2016 to become Zimbabwe’s third-highest scorer with 127 runs in 6 matches, including his score of 66 off 92 deliveries against Afghanistan. Earlier, in January 2016, Mashinge made his first-class debut for Mountaineers in the Logan Cup.
