Dream11 Fantasy Team

Wicketkeepers

Banton is the wicketkeeper of our dream11. Earlier in the county season, Banton had starts that he did not convert. But in the latest game against Hampshire, he struck a rich vein of form, scoring 45 and 51 not out.

Batsmen

Westley, Abell and Cook fill the three batting slots in our dream11. Abell has been one of the most consistent batsmen for Somerset, with innings of 84, 88, 41, 49, 64, and 98 to show for his effort. He has also taken wickets with his occasional bowling. Cook needs no introduction. He has had some good innings including a ton against Worcestershire this season. Westley has been Essex’s in form batsmen with a ton and a double ton. In the latest game against Notts, he scored 71, underscoring his dominance.

All-rounders

Harmer, Gregory, Merwe and Doeschate are our four allrounders. Gregory has been outstanding with the ball throughout the season. His century in the latest game against Hampshire has signaled a return to batting form. Van der Merwe’s 88 in the same game justifies his inclusion in our dream11. Harmer has been brilliant with the ball, with a five-fer, and a few four wicket innings hauls. He has also scored a couple of fifties against Worcestershire and Warwickshire. He took 4/71 in his latest game against Notts. While Doeschate has not taken any wickets in the county season, he has had several good starts with the bat. His batting talent will be especially useful in T20 cricket, with his ability to hit the big sixes in the death overs.

Bowlers

Siddle, Lange and J Leach are our three bowlers. Siddle’s international credentials precede him. His good showing in the latest game for Essex against Notts has repaid our confidence in him. Both Leach and De Lange have taken wickets consistently. De Lange has also had a couple of good innings.

Captain and Vice-Captain

The captain of our dream11 is Gregory, while the vice-captain is Banton.

Our Dream11

Banton, Westley, Abell, Cook, Harmer, Gregory, Merwe, Doeschate, Siddle, de Lange and J Leach.

Summary

In presenting our SOM vs ESS dream11 prediction we have analyzed the form of various players this season as displayed by their recent performances.
