Dream11 Sussex vs Kent: May 13

Dream11 Sussex vs Kent: May 13

Sussex vs Kent Match Details

In this article, we preview Sussex vs Kent, the County Championship match to be played in Brighton on 13 May. If we had to make a match prediction, we would give Sussex an edge over Kent.

Team Sussex Report

Sussex are likely to make one change to their eleven that played against Lancashire on 29 April, with Ollie Robinson replacing Atkins: Thomason, Haines, Van Zyl, Clark, Brown, Rawlins, Garton, Meaker, Carson, Crocombe, Ollie Robinson.

Team Kent Report

Kent are likely to go with the same eleven that played against Glamorgan on April 29: Drummond, Cox, Crawley, Denly, Leaning, Kuhn, Robinson, Stevens, Milnes, Klaasen, Cummins.

Dream11 Fantasy Team

Wicket-keepers

While Sussex skipper Brown is our first-choice wicket-keeper, we have also chosen Kent’s Cox and Robinson, both of whom have been relatively consistent this season. Cox scored 62 against Northamptonshire and was unlucky to miss out on a ton against Lancashire. Though Brown is yet to score a fifty, he has some good starts and is due for a big one.

Batsmen

Drummond, Thomason, Haines, Van Zyl make the grade as batsmen in our Dream11. Though Drummond is yet to hit his stride, his innings of 114 against Lancashire gave us a glimpse of his potential. Thomason had a couple of fifties against Glamorgan and is due for a big score. Haines made 155 in his first match against Lancashire and followed that up with near hundreds against Glamorgan and Yorkshire. Van Zyl has registered scores of 113 and 79, underscoring his talent. We back him to continue in the same vein against Kent on 13 May.

All-Rounders

Stevens is our lone all-rounder choice. Stevens has been outstanding for Kent this season, scoring runs (including a ton against Northamptonshire) and taking wickets regularly, including a haul of 5/53 against Glamorgan.

Bowlers

Milnes, Carson and Ollie Robinson fill our bowling slots to help complete our Dream11. Milnes has been consistently among the wickets for Kent. With innings of 26 and 78 against Yorkshire, he has also shown us that he is no rabbit with the bat. With 18 wickets in his first four games, including 7 against Lancashire, Sussex’s Carson has been one of the best bowlers on show this season. Though Ollie Robinson missed the game against Lancashire, we expect him to play against Kent and get back to his wicket-taking ways. With 20 wickets in his first three matches, including 13 in the match against Glamorgan, Ollie must surely be the key to Sussex’s fortunes this season.

Captain and Vice-Captain

Haines, Sussex’s in-form batsman, is the captain of our Dream11. Our vice-captain is Brown.

Dream11

Drummond, Brown (v-c), Cox, Robinson, Thomason, Haines (c), Van Zyl, Stevens, Milnes, Carson, Ollie Robinson.

Summary

We have based our SUS vs KEN Dream11 prediction on the performance of the various players in the previous games of the ongoing tournament. Our Dream11 consists of five players from Kent and seven from Sussex.
