During his career that spanned from 1989-2013, in the 200 Test matches that Tendulkar has played, he has gone on to score a total of 2058 fours.
2) Rahul Dravid (India) – 1654 Fours
Another Indian batting stalwart, Rahul Dravid has been one of the most consistent and technically proficient batsmen that the Indian team has produced. In the 164 matches that Dravid has played during the period from 1996-2012, he went on to score a total of 1654 fours.
3) Brian Lara (West Indies) – 1559 Fours
Holding the record for the highest individual score in a Test inning, former West Indies captain Brian Lara features third in the list of the most fours scored in Test cricket. In the 131 matches that he played, Lara went on to score a phenomenal total of 1559 fours.
4) Ricky Ponting (Australia) – 1509 Fours
Former Australian captain and one of the most dependable batsmen in Test cricket, Ricky Ponting scored a total of 1509 fours in the 168 Test matches that he’s played.
5) Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka) – 1491 Fours
The elegant left-handed wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka scored a total of 1491 fours in the 134 Test matches that he featured in, which puts him fifth in the list of the players who have scored the most fours in Test cricket.
6) Jacques Kallis (South Africa) – 1488 Fours
One of the greatest all-rounders that South Africa has ever produced, veteran Jacques Kallis comes in sixth when it comes to the list of players who have the most fours in Test cricket. In the 166 matches that Kallis has played for his country, he’s gone on to score a total of 1488 fours.

Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene features eight on the list of players who have scored the most fours in Test cricket. In the 149 matches that Mahela has played for Sri Lanka, the elegant right-handed batsman went on to score a total of 1387 fours.

With 1285 fours in the 164 Test matches that he featured in, Shivnarine Chanderpaul of the West Indies features ninth on this list.

In just 104 matches, legendary Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag went on to score a total of 1233 fours in Test cricket. His aggressive mindset and his ability to attack from the word go meant that Sehwag scored a majority of his runs in boundaries as is highlighted by the stat.

After a stellar career that spanned across a total of 112 matches, recently retired Ross Taylor of New Zealand features second on this list. He scored a total of 932 fours during his entire Test career.
3) Virat Kohli (India) – 896 Fours
India’s captain and one of the most proficient run-makers in the modern era, Virat Kohli has scored a total of 896 four in the 99 matches that he’s played in.
