Pant Made Skipper after Injury to Iyer

reyas Iyer handed over the captaincy to Pant after the former had injured himself while playing for India in the first ODI of the home series versus England in March 2021. Iyer, Pant Star in Second Leg Game versus SRH

me, SRH batted first. DC got off to a dream start when Nortje dismissed Warner on the third ball. Just as Sunrisers appeared to be making a comeback at 60 for 2 in the 10th over, they lost a flurry of wickets to be reduced to 74 for 5 in 13 overs. Some tight death-over bowling from DC seamers Nortje, Avesh Khan and Rabada helped restrict SRH to 134/9, in which Abdul Samad made a top score with 28. For DC, Rabada was the most successful bowler, returning figures of 3/37. The modest target was never going to worry the strong DC batting lineup and the table leaders cantered to victory with 8 wickets and more than 2 overs to spare. Iyer was the top scorer with 47 from 41, while skipper Pant made 35 from 21 balls.
