IPL 2021 Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders April 11 Match Prediction

In this article, we preview match 3 of the IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders, to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on 11 April 2021. We expect this to be a closely fought game between well-matched sides that are strong in every department.

Match Predictions and Team Previews

Last Match Between SRH and KKR

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders last met in the IPL on 26 September 2020 at Abu Dhabi. Batting first, SRH scored 142/4. After the early loss of Bairstow’s wicket, they recovered through respective partnerships of 35 between Warner (36 off 30 balls) and Pandey (51 off 38 balls) and 62 between Pandey and Saha (30 off 31 balls). But on a slow wicket, SRH failed to accelerate in the slog overs and ended up with a modest score that was probably about 40 runs short of a winning total. Pat Cummins was the best KKR bowler on display, taking 1/19 in his four overs. Varun Chakravarthy (1/25) and Andre Russell (1/16) also helped restrict SRH. In their reply, KKR lost the early wicket of Sunil Narine. But Shubman Gill anchored the innings, scoring 70 off 62 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes, sharing an unbeaten partnership of 92 with Eoin Morgan (42 in 29 balls) to shepherd KKR home in 18 overs.

IPL 2021 Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders: April 11 Match Prediction

Match Prediction

In our SRH vs KKR prediction, we believe that Kolkata Knightriders will beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL match on 11 April 2021.

SRH vs KKR Betting

Bookmakers’ odds favour Sunrisers Hyderabad to win the game on 11 April, with odds of 10/11 offered on an SRH win. A KKR victory attracts odds of 1/1, while a tie is considered the least likely outcome at 33/1.

Summaryp>In our prediction for the game, we have gone against bookmakers’ odds for several reasons. KKR have better batting depth, while SRH rely mainly on their top order batsmen. SRH have the edge in bowling, with the likes of the in-form Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan in their ranks. However, with the likes of Gill, Rana, Kartik, Morgan and Shakib in their batting order, KKR could neutralize the superior bowling strength of SRH. While Cummins is the lone fast bowling star in KKR’s attack, Prasidh Krishna’s recent good performance versus England bodes well for the two-time champions.
